As you may have noticed, I usually email on Fridays.
Frazzled AF
But the truth is that I am hopelessly scrambled due to some time-sensitive wheeling and dealing related to a possible last-minute move.
To make a long story short, in writing my recent piece How Homes Work I convinced myself that stress related to our living arrangements places the bottleneck on my wellbeing at present. Having too little space makes parenting harder, makes work harder, makes relaxation harder. Took a look on StreetEasy, and one thing led to another…
Then I tried to write a blog post this morning on productivity as an existential issue, but I’m too frazzled to string together coherent sentences (will finish later).
Instead, I turned to paying a few bills, email, etc. Then here.
Structured Procrastination
This is a practice called Structured Procrastination: you turn your procrastination on one thing into motivation to do something else.
I strongly recommend reading about structured procrastination and trying it (if you haven’t stumbled upon structured procrastination by accident already).
