Hello!
I’m trying out a different email service called Substack, so things look a little different today. (Lmk if anything is broken in here and/or if you hate it)
New: How to Deal with Mildly Compulsive Behavior
You know what I mean… maybe you are compulsively scrolling through your inbox right now!
The obvious solutions is “just stop.” But c’mon, how often does that work?
I have a different solution - and I only learned it through lots of (ongoing) trial & error with myself.
Check it out: How to Deal with Mildly Compulsive Behavior
NaNoWriMo
I’ve known about “National Novel Writing Month” for a long time now, but assumed it wasn’t for me because I don’t really do ~fiction~.
Then I heard the good news from my buddy Jacq Fisch that you can write anything you damn well please for NaNoWriMo.
So, I’ll be aiming to produce a full 50,000 words of premium philosophical life coaching-related content next month. Huzzah.
Anyone out there a present or past NaNoWriMo-er? Need an accountability buddy?
Notes from my first 6 months in business
It was about 6 months ago when I quietly started scheduling exploratory calls with people in my network who understood what I was trying to do. It was all very exciting (despite my otherwise lethargic, then-gravid state).
I’ve learned so much in my first half-year and it’s mostly thanks to people like you: whether you’ve hired me, responded to my emails, or just browsed occasionally, I sincerely appreciate it.
I’m still excited, and the best is yet to come. These are my preliminary notes on being in the coaching business - got a few short followups to write next week on the coaching itself.
(For instance, I’ve realized that the more I prepare for a coaching call, the worse it goes. Counterintuitive! Stay tuned.)
Work with me before my rates change
I’m wrapping up an online course on marketing a life coaching business. So, I’ll soon be restructuring my services (with new rates).
If you’re already one of my beloved early-adopter clients, you can keep your current rate forever.
If you’re not yet a client, now would be a good time to pull the trigger on an intro session.
