Weekend greetings - what a week. You don’t need more vapid COVID-19 spam from brands, so I’m not going to send that.
Instead, I have 2 things right now: a new blog post and a new offer.
I hope that these can help you in some small way, whether you’re struggling with the pandemic or something a little smaller scale. Problems are problems, folks.
1. Self-Parenting for Difficult Times
This is a blog post about taking a parent’s eye view in order to support yourself.
I started thinking about “reparenting” and self-parenting generally, when I started reading about trauma.
It feels cheesy, but if you’re stuck in a rut and the things you try to tell yourself aren’t working, what do you have to lose?

2. Journaling for Smart People
A couple months ago, I got the idea to use this here Substack in an unconventional way:
Paid subscribers will get a weekly writing prompt from me: something connected to my writing, someone else’s writing, or The Big Questions.
You respond to the prompt via email if you like, and I’ll write back once per week. Think: interactive journaling for smart people. It’s basically the lite version of my full-fledged coaching by email.
Well, I had intended to do more preparation for this launch, like thinking of months of writing prompts in advance, beta testing, and so on.
But I’ve decided that it can’t wait. If I can help even one person to clear some headspace right now in turbulent times, then it’ll be worth it.
Click here to sign up for Journaling for Smart People - the first prompt goes out tomorrow. ($16/month - 20% off - until the end of March)
Please contact me if you want to do Journaling for Smart People but cannot afford it, you’re in.
Or, consider subscribing yourself as a gift to someone else - just let me know that’s what you’re doing, and I’ll pay it forward to another client in need.
Our nanny is on indefinite paid vacation, so my capacity to take phone calls is limited. But I will email with anyone and everyone, in the middle of the night if necessary. This is what I can do.
Wishing you health and equanimity,
Pamela J. Hobart
